GLMA’s local chapters build local power. By connecting LGBTQ+ and allied health professionals in their own regions and creating sustainable, community-driven networks, our local chapters strengthen the fight for health equity where it matters most.
While many states already have strong individual advocates and informal networks, what’s often missing is a coordinated structure to align efforts. Local GLMA chapters provide that structure - bringing health professionals together to share expertise, advocate effectively, and expand access to LGBTQ+ health education.
At a time when health care - particularly LGBTQ+ health care - is under attack, local action is urgently needed. Chapters give us the ability to respond quickly to threats, while building lasting systems of support and advocacy.
Together, these chapters will strengthen our collective voice and improve LGBTQ+ health outcomes, while giving you a direct way to plug into meaningful, local action.
