GLMA’s 44th Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health

Since its inception in 1981, GLMA’s Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health has served as the premier scientific conference shaping the future of LGBTQ+ health care.

Each year, health professionals come together to share innovative breakthroughs, evidence-based interventions, and the latest research advancing LGBTQ+ health. The conference is open to health care providers of all disciplines, researchers, academics, health administrators, policy experts, advocates, and all LGBTQ+ health supporters.

What You Will Experience at GLMA2026

GLMA’s Annual Conference is both a premier scientific meeting and a space for connection, reflection, and collective care. Attendees join not only to learn, but to build relationships, share lived experience, and recharge alongside peers navigating the urgency and complexity of LGBTQ+ health work today.

  • Evidence-informed education: Research presentations, workshops, and panels grounded in best practices and emerging evidence across health disciplines.

  • Interdisciplinary exchange: Opportunities to learn alongside clinicians, researchers, educators, advocates, administrators, and health professions trainees.

  • Skill-building and practical tools: Sessions designed to translate knowledge into action within clinical, academic, policy, and community settings.

  • Community and connection: Dedicated spaces for networking, affinity gatherings, and informal conversations that extend learning beyond the session room.

  • Moments of restoration and celebration: Shared experiences and social events that honor joy, resilience, and care as essential parts of LGBTQ+ health work.

More Than Sessions

Beyond plenaries and workshops, GLMA’s Annual Conference is intentionally designed to foster connection. Community events, receptions, networking opportunities, and informal moments strengthen professional relationships and support collaboration that continues long after the conference concludes. These experiences are central to how GLMA advances LGBTQ+ health equity and leadership.
